HOW TO PARTECIPATE

the NGO/CSO FORUM for Food Sovereignty
will be held from 8 to 13 June 2002 in Rome, Italy.

The Forum will start two days before the "World Food Summit:five years later" (WFS:fyl) convened by FAO (10 - 13 June 2002).

There are a limited number of places available for this Forum but if your Organization is interested in participating in the Forum, please fill out the application form and return it by fax or courier or email, by March 31, 2002 at the latest. We will then consider your application and confirm if we are able to invite you.

Please note that the invitation to the NGO/CSO Forum does not imply that the Italian Committee will make funding available for your participation.

At the Forum we will have the "delegates" that are the 606 people that will arrive in Rome on the base of the quota system ratified by the last IPC meeting in Rome in November and the "accredited" that are all the people that want to be accredited to the Forum without any limit of quota. All the IPC members are considered "delegates" and are out of the mechanism of the quota.
The Secretariat is in charge, first of all, to allow to all the delegate to arrive in Rome, have a accommodation and let them work at the best. The Secretariat is willing to cover the cost of air tickets and accommodation for the IPC members and the "delegates" of the South with some exception for Indigenous peoples and some organisation of family farmers from the North. In this right moment we don't have the money to cover all those cost and we ask everybody to seek even other way to fund their travel to the Forum.

Participation in the NGO/CSO Forum does NOT include accreditation to the FAO - World Food Summit:fyl, for which there are separate accreditation processes see .
